Fokkernews September 2025 (issue 93)

General news

The successor to the Singapore Air Force F50 Enforcer fleet is now known: four Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft have been ordered. Date of entry in service is not known yet.

The delivery of the first Airbus A220 to Air Niugini in mid-September marks the beginning of the end of the Fokker era with this airline.

10668 400M N27FF VCNE (Flying Dutch Cultural Heritage Foundation). It is soon five years ago that former US Army C-31A arrived at Lelystad. After many hours of hard work the necessary D-check is almost completed and one engine was replaced. The VCNE team is now waiting for the revision of the propellers in Canada, where the world's last certified F27 revision supplier is located. VNCE cannot provide an estimation for the first flight after restoration, but the volunteers are absolutely determined to bring the F27 back in the air. In the meantime work on the interior and exterior is steadily ongoing.
20186 50E 5Y-*** S2-AIL Renegade Air has contracted both F50s from Sky Capital Cargo. This second aircraft will be ferried from Dacca to Nairobi later.
20187 50 YV2977 Unknown operator. The ex-Avior F50 was seen 15 September 2025 at Paramaribo airport, all white.
20316 50E 5Y-*** S2-AIM Renegade Air has acquired this F50 from Sky Capital Cargo. The aircraft was delivered from Dacca to Nairobi-Wilson on 11-13 September 2025 with intermediate stops at Nagpur, Ahmadabed, Muscat, Riyadh, Jedda and Addis Ababa.

11373 100 VH-FNU Alliance Airlines' most recent F100 acquisition reportedly had its engines refitted and made an engine run at Brisbane. This is in preparation for its last flight prior to being parted out for spares elsewhere.
11399 100 VH-NHP Network Airlines (QantasLink). Still stored at Perth 23 September 2025, all white, missing various parts and waiting to be scrapped.
11449 100 VH-NHM Network Airlines (QantasLink). Returned to Perth from Singapore-Seletar via Broome on 14 September 2025 after maintenance. Resumed service two days later to Port Hedland.
11465 100 VH-NHK Network Airlines (QantasLink). This F100 was still waiting for the scrapman at Perth on 23 September 2025, devoid of all usable parts.
11557 70ER KAF308 Kenya Government. The presidential F70, also known as Harambee One, is planned to be retired in 2026. It is currently undergoing a one-year long major maintenance at Woensdrecht and once that will be completed, the aircraft will be disposed of. Repeated mechanical issues, high operating costs and limited availability of spare parts are cited as the main reasons.
11565 70 VH-QQV Alliance Airlines. Also this F70 is stored at Perth, waiting to be scrapped. It was noted 23 September 2025 with many parts missing.
11585 70 9M-*** 2-PJAB Airline Technical Support Caribe ferried the F70 from Curaçao to Kuala Lumpur (see Fokkernews 92). It is intended for a still unknown local operator.

Starsky Air has applied new colors to their entire fleet, including F50 6O-YAS (presumably 20177, but not confirmed). The text in the tail is “Award winning airline” below the corporate logo. (Starsky Air, still from video; unknown location, 30 August 2025)

The former Avior Airlines F50 fleet is reported to have found a currently still unknown new operator. Two aircraft were photographed recently: YV2977 (20187) and YV2976 (20188) are both in all-white livery. (Raoul de Miranda; Paramaribo, 15 September and Relori76; Barcelona, 13 August 2025, respectively)

Not at all new, but hitherto unpublished is Air Botnia Fellowship SE-DGX (11225) with a painting error: ‘Air Bolnia’ instead of ‘Air Botnia’. (Krijn Oostlander; Woensdrecht, 17 September 1999)

Since our previous picture in Fokkernews #89 Skyward Airlines F100 5Y-SKC (11395) has lost its ‘Skywardexpress.co.ke’ titles, presumably as a transition to new titles now the operator has been renamed into Skyward Airlines. (Erik Stegeman; Mombasa, 22 September 2025)

This F100 is on display in the Kidzania playground and education center in the Dubai shopping Mall. Although it is there for more than 16 years, its identity is still a mystery. It is again painted in the colors of Emirates, who never flew Fokkers. (Plane Shots; Dubai, 17 February 2025)
