Virgin Australia will soon replace Fokkers on two routes (Newcastle-Brisbane and Brisbane-Rockhampton) by Boeing 737s; the Fokkers are operated by Alliance Airlines.

Fokker F27, Fokker 50 & Fokker 60

20223 50 7Q-SMO Star Sky Aviation. This F50 was added to the fleet on 5 July 2026 as a replacement for 6O-YAS that was lost in an accident in February 2026.
unknown 50 7P-MAM Salaam Air Express. Seen at Nairobi-Wilson 26 June 2026 is another unknown F50, all white with a grey belly. Reportedly it operates from Nairobi-Wilson to Juba and Mogadishu.
unknown 50 unknown A local source reported that a hitherto unknown F50 made an emergency landing in a sandy area of Bosaso airport in Puntland, Somalia, on 20 July 2026. Arriving from Mogadishu, the landing gear failed to deploy and the crew choose not to use the runway. No casualties are reported, but the aircraft is damaged. The report is not independently confirmed and no pictures are available. According to FR24 the only F50 flight scheduled on that route was Jubba Airways flight 3J1501 MGQ-BSA. Who knows more?

Fokker F28, Fokker 70 & Fokker 100

11020 1000C TC-53 Argentine Air Force. After maintenance, this Fellowship made a local test flight at El Palomar Air Base on 6 July 2026.
11201 4000 PK-GKQ The ex-Merpati Fellowship that was an attraction in the Owabongo waterpark in Purbalingga, Indonesia (see Fokkernews 31) was reportedly removed from the park and scrapped in 2023.
11280 100 VH-XWO Alliance Airlines. Operated its last revenue flight on 16 April 2026 from Groote Eylandt to Brisbane as QQ925 and is parked since, probably withdrawn from use.
11306 100 VH-XWR Alliance Airlines. Made its last revenue flight from Townsville via Trepell to Brisbane on 8 June 2026 as QQ883/881 and was withdrawn from use. On 13 July it was seen parked without titles and logos.
11338 100 VH-XWT Alliance Airlines. Offered for sale by Airline Fleet Support, available as of 16 August 2026.
11450 100 2-HFSQ Airline Fleet Support. Offered for immediate sale.
11499 100 VH-UQA Alliance Airlines. Made last revenue flight on 3 March 2026 from Rockhampton to Brisbane. Seen in June 2026 at Brisbane without titles. Departed Brisbane en route to Woensdrecht via Darwin, Singapore-Seletar (tech diversion from Johor Baru), Calcutta, Dushanbe, Tbilisi and Sofia. This is quite an unusual route, due to the situation in the Middle East. The F100 is offered for sale by Airline Fleet Support and is available immediately.
11539 70 OB-2156-P Wayraperú. Noted 7 July 2026 in the corrosion corner of Lima-Jorge Chavez International airport, next to OB-2153-P (11540). Both F70s are stored there for some five years now.
11556 70 PZ-TFA Fly AllWays. Seen at Paramaribo on 8 July 2026, missing many parts.

Fokker pictures

After the loss of their Fokker 50 (see Fokkernews 98), Star Sky Aviation has added another F50 to the fleet: 7Q-SMO (20223). It was unveiled in a festive ceremony on Mogadishu airport. (Somali spotter; Mogadishu, 5 July 2026)

 

Brisbane Airport recently unveiled their new spotter platform located between both runways and now appropriately named ‘Fellowship Place’. It is adorned with a monument consisting of the tail piece of former Aviation Australia F28 VH-XNG (11038), in a blue repaint. (Brisbane Airport; Brisbane, 19 July 2026)

 

The Colombian Air Force VIP F28 FAC0002 is still stored on the military ramp at Bogota, so apparently the intended transfer to the Tocancipá museum is postponed or maybe even cancelled. (André Alders; Bogota, 12 July 2026)

 

After its active career with Austrian arrows Fokker 100 OE-LVJ (11359) was sold to Alliance Airlines in 2019 as VH-UQP, but never entered service with them. Actually, it did not even fly to Australia, but was used as a donor of spare parts while in Bratislava. In 2020 it was reregistered as OE-IMX and soon acquired by airliners.sk, a club of aviation enthusiasts. They had it transported to Slávnica airfield, where it was added to the local aeroclub’s museum collection. The volunteers have steadily worked on the F100 and in 2024 it was placed on its own gear again and some repairs had been made. After a 27-hour flight in eight sectors former Alliance Airlines F100 VH-UQA (11499) arrived at Woensdrecht from Brisbane for maintenance before it will be delivered to the next operator, presumably in East Africa. (Hans Hoffmann; Woensdrecht, 3 July 2026)

 

As Network Airlines has put their Fokker 100 fleet up for sale, a view like this will probably be history soon, VH-NHQ (11506) still in service. (Merv Crowe; Perth, 3 July 2026)
