General news
Alliance Airlines is optimizing the fleet by progressively retiring older Fokker 100 aircraft and retaining F70 when appropriate as more Embraer E190 become available. The current Fokker fleet consists of 35 units, of which five are in storage.
Renegade Air of Kenya is reportedly expecting to add two cargo F50s to the fleet shortly. Most probably these will be c/n 20186 and 20316 (ex-Sky Capital Cargo, S2-AIL and S2-AIM, respectively).
After the crash of Bek Air F100 UP-F1007 (11496) at Almaty airport in 2019, the engines were reportedly stolen. The former CEO of the airline has been arrested as a suspect.
Somalian airline Starsky Aviation plans to commence international operations soon, initially to Nairobi and very likely using their Fokker 50.

10199 100 CX-BHV The former Uruguayan Air Force F27 T-560 moved to a new site in the hills of San Francisco de las Sierras, some 50 km north of Punta del Este, Uruguay. The owner plans to convert it into a luxury hotel suite on trestles, located on top of a private swimming pool. The location is visible on Google Earth -34.4513, -55.1978.
10345 600 T-41 Argentine Air Force. Noted on 7 August 2026, stored at Paraná airport, Entre Rios, together with two other FAA F27s. The trio is visible on Google Earth -31.7851, -60.4770.
10454 600 T-44 Argentine Air Force. This Friendship is part of the aircraft collection of the 2nd Air Brigade at Paraná airport, Entre Rios. Visible at Google Earth -31.7799, -60.4773.
10575 400M TC-79 Argentine Air Force. Noted on 7 August 2026, stored at Paraná airport, Entre Rios, together with two other FAA F27s. The trio is visible on Google Earth -31.7851, -60.4770.
10621 400M TC-75 Argentine Air Force. Noted on 7 August 2026, stored at Paraná airport, Entre Rios, together with two other FAA F27s. The trio is visible on Google Earth -31.7851, -60.4770.
20126 50E SE-MFD Amapola Flyg. This cargo F50 was seen at Malmö painted all white on 20 August 2026,. It has not flown for about a year.
20129 50 7Q-CGX Reportedly this F50 has moved from Safe Air Company to Kush Air, which nicely fits with the picture in Fokkernews 101.
42 27J LV-RLB Formerly with CATA Linea Aereas in Argentina and stored for more than 20 years at Morón airport. The Fairchild was moved away during August 2026 to a private property nearby, where it was installed on poles.

11278 100 VH-XWN Alliance Airlines. Correction to the August edition: the last revenue flight from Leinster to Perth was on 9 July (not June) 2026.
11338 100 VH-XWT Alliance Airlines. Ferried from Perth to Woensdrecht via Port Hedland, Johor Bahru, Bengaluru, Al Ain, Alexandria and Sofia 13-15 September 2026 as SXI2628. The aircraft carried no titles or logos, just a blue tail.
11450 100 5Y-HMM 2-HFSQ Airline Technical Support apparently sold the F100 to Kenya, as it was cancelled from the Guernsey register on 17 August 2026. The new operator is not known yet.
11467 100 VH-NHY Network (QantasLink) made its final commercial flight on 7 September 2026 from Perth to Kalgoorlie and return as NWK1610/1611. It was offered for sale in 2025, but as far as we know it has not been sold yet.
11477 100 EP-FQJ Qeshm Air. Was repaired after an accident (date and location unknown) and returned into service 23 August 2026 from Tehran to Zahedan.
11499 100 2-HUQA VH-UQA Not unexpectedly Airline Technical Support Caribe had their newest F100 registered in Guernsey on 27 August 2026. It was cancelled from the VH-register on 4 August 2026.

Fokker pictures

Former Uruguayan Air Force F27 T-560/CX-BHV (10199) has now moved to the countryside for development into a luxury hotel. This picture shows that a lot of work still has to be done. (Avión en Las Sierras; Sierras de Minas, September 2026)

 

F27 Maritime NAF 907 of the Nigerian Air Force (10653) is preserved at the Air Force Institute of Technology in a much better condition than sistership NAF 905 in the previous Fokkernews edition. Its operational life was not even two years and the wrinkles in the front fuselage do suggest that this F27 has been involved in an accident. (Agudiegwutreasure; Kaduna, February 2025)

In West-African Guinea the launch of Guinée Atlantique Airlines has been announced for 2027. It is part of the ambitious national Vision Simandou 2040, a governmental plan for the further development of the country. Until now five attempts have been made to establish a successor to the national carrier Air Guinée that ceased operations in 2002. No fleet details have been published, but the planned carrier’s social media feature Boeing 737, Fokker 50 and Jetstream 32 aircraft. This F50 is clearly an artist’s (or artificial intelligence) impression and does not mean that Guinée Atlantique Airlines will become a Fokker operator. Fairchild F-27J LV-RLB (42) that was in open storage for 20 years at Morón airport after CATA went out of business, is now on poles in a private garden somewhere in the Buenos Aires area. (Ricardo Ohoka, via Gonzalo Carballo; Buenos Aires, August 2026)

 

For the Airtraff art project at the 17th Biennale of Cuenca, Colombia, former Austro Aereo Fairchild FH-227B HC-BXC (533) was adorned with black striping and QR codes. It was designed by Peruvian artist Angie Bonino and printed on adhesive vinyl tape by sponsor Epson. (Arte al Limite; Cuenca, December 2025)

 

Another former Alliance Airlines F100 was delivered to Woensdrecht. This time VH-XWT (11338) arrived from Perth after seven legs in three days. (Ralph Hamaker; Woensdrecht, 15 September 2026)

 

After is active career with Avianca as PR-OAF (11415), this F100 was transformed into a luxury restaurant in Brasilia. Initially it was painted in PanAm livery as N281PA (see Fokkernews 45), then it became TPE American in basic PanAm colors as N281PA and in 2024 it was named The Plane Experience, still in blue colors, but now as N281P. In August 2025 it received a red, gold and dark blue cheatline, THE PLANE titles and instead of the tail registration worn before a golden tail logo was applied along with the name ‘The Spirit of Light’ and the number 28100 on the nose.
